These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Dot.Auction and any connected Dot Ecosystem platform you sign in to through it. Dot.Auction is operated by BluePin Inc ("BluePin", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Dot.Auction, you agree to these Terms.
You need an account to list items or place bids. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account — including bids placed and listings created.
Your Dot Ecosystem account is also your identity on Dot.Auction. Signing in through a connected platform issues a short-lived, single-use token that confirms who you are, without you re-entering your password.
Sellers. When you list an item, you're representing that you own it or have the right to sell it, and that its description is accurate. You set the starting price, reserve price, and auction window; you're responsible for honouring the sale once an auction closes above your reserve.
Buyers. A bid is a binding commitment to buy the item at that price if you're the highest bidder when the auction closes. Bids cannot be withdrawn once placed. You're responsible for reviewing a listing carefully before bidding.
Settlement. Dot.Auction tracks the current highest bid, enforces reserve prices, and determines the winner when the clock runs out. Payment and delivery arrangements between buyer and seller happen outside the platform unless stated otherwise on a specific listing.
You agree not to:
We aim to keep Dot.Auction and its live-bidding infrastructure available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features from time to time.
Dot.Auction connects buyers and sellers; we are not a party to the sale itself, and we don't guarantee the condition, authenticity, or delivery of any listed item. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BluePin is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from a transaction between a buyer and seller, or from your use of Dot.Auction generally.
You may close your account at any time, subject to honouring any active bids or listings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to Dot.Auction, the Dot Ecosystem, or other users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above when we do, and for material changes we'll take reasonable steps to let you know before they take effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@infodot.co.za, or via our Contact page. For anything about your personal information specifically, see our Privacy Policy.
